New document about Channels in the Base

Hello, we just published new presentation about data channels and commands in the Base. Some of you already have the older version, in this one I fixed few errors, added some new channels and general picture of data flow inside the Base between different VMs.

We tried to implement LED events, but it's now disabled. LCN does not send notifications about LED changes and cyclic readouts were either too slow and barely useful or were totally clogging LCN bus in anything bigger than few modules installation - and we have customers with installations having from a handful of modules to handful of thousands of modules...

Actually, those are some of the quirks of LCN we don't like - lack of regulator and value notifications, lack of LEDs notifications and no standard way of providing information about keypresses. That last thing you can simulate by sending "sendkeys" or "load scene" commands to Base ID and then react in the Events.

die ständigen Abfragen sind absolut leidig ...

Als Tipp für Filip mal eine Lösung, die sich in iP-Symcon durchaus bewährt hat.
Dort kann ich den Zeitintervall der Abfragen für jeden Wert(Variable) separat einstellen. So kann jeder für jeden Wert selbst bestimmen wie sehr er seine Anlage belastet. Gerade bei größeren Anlagen ist das ein echtes Problem ...

We don't want to make it too complicated, it should just work. The best solution for now is to use virtual relays and show their state with LEDs (using sums). Which reminds me, we should add sums in next release. :-)

Ich hatte verstanden, das es eine neuere Version gibt?

NACHTRAG: Sorry, auf der DOMIQ-Website ist das Datum 13.06.2011,wie Dieter schon schrieb...
